KY to CA

My friend and I decided to take this trip about a month ago when she asked me, "What do think about going out West on the motorcycles?".. I said "Okay, let's do it!". A month later, after a few financial adjustments and a little preparation, we took off from Kentucky to California on our Harley Sportsters. We spent a week in New Orleans and some time in Austin, TX and in Arizona. We camped all along the way in state and national parks, which were beautiful! Living this way is simple and refreshing. I have gained new perspectives on the beauty of our country and the generosity and kindness found in people. We're on the road back now, and I am typing now from a hotel while I eat my breakfast... It's what I like to call the "Best Western" diet, because every morning when we wake up from wherever we have slept, we waltz into a hotel and eat their breakfast! ;) Neat little trick if you're ever hungry on the road!

The rest of the photos (LA to Cali) were taken on the fly as the pace of the trip really began to pick up. The Pacific Ocean along Highway 1 was definitely worth the trip. We thank everyone who supported us: Harley of Louisville, Renegade Harley, Mama Mona, Katy-Rene, everyone who bought tie-dyes, and everyone we met. You all are incredible!
